The Garmin GPSMAP 78 Marine GPS Navigator features high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver, and HotFix satellite prediction that locate position accurately and quickly. It is equipped with sensors for comprehensive tracking including a three-axis electronic compass and a barometric altimeter (except GPSMAP 78). It also offers wireless connectivity for easy data sharing with similar units.

This Garmin marine GPS navigator includes a built-in worldwide basemap and optional preloaded U.S. BlueChart g2 coastal charts (GPSMAP 78sc only). It features a 2.6-inch transflective color display that ensures excellent readability at all times and supports BirdsEye Satellite Imagery for a photo-realistic view. With its 1.7-gigabyte internal memory and a microSD card slot, it allows adding more maps.

The Garmin GPSMAP 78 Marine GPS Navigator comes with molded rubber side grips and a wrist strap ensuring non-slip and convenient handling during trips. Ideal for mariners, it is water-rated to one meter and floats for guaranteed worry-free water adventures. It also has a water-resistant battery compartment that accommodates two AA batteries (not included) for 20 hours of operation.
